Bridging the gap between rural New South Wales and a career in law
A collaborative legal-access initiative that sends lawyers into regional and rural communities, so talented students can meet the profession face to face, and see a clear path from their classroom to a career in law.
Many access programmes exist. Very few reach rural students in person.
Launchpad 2 Law is a collaborative initiative led by Ashurst, Clayton Utz and Gilbert + Tobin, designed to broaden access to the legal profession for students from regional and rural New South Wales.
The gap we address is simple: many valuable programmes already help students reach university, but very few give regional and rural students direct, face-to-face engagement with legal professionals. So we send lawyers into communities to share what a path into law really looks like.
Three founding firms, one open door
Launchpad 2 Law is a collaborative initiative led by three of Australia's leading commercial law firms, supported by corporate sponsors who help take the programme further.
